Foods that cause overeating (it’s not willpower)
Why do people eat them? One factor is stress that causes body to favor emergency energy (sugar, carbs). Another is that sugar is addictive.
Have to understand how insulin works.
Ketchup, BBQ sauces, dipping sauces
Tomato soup
Canned fruit and fruit juice and dried fruit and products made from fruit (abominations).
Grain (bread, pasta, rice, corn bread, biscuits) although a little bit is OK. People tend to eat way too much. Asian culture diet is different and some rice is OK for the other foods they eat.
Ice cream - contains lactose and sucrose. May even make you hungry.
Cereal from supermarket- highly processed and spike insulin but of make it yourself from steel cut oats and limit amount it is not bad. Granola is not a health food.
Candy of course
Mixed drinks (sweet and colorful is the attraction) and cause fatty liver
Pastries of course - waffles & pancakes with syrup, cake, muffins, donuts - very bad because they contain grain, starch, glucose, sucrose, carbs, bad fats and make you fat. Young athletes can get away with it.
Soda, sports drinks, and energy drinks, coffee drinks like iced coffee and Frappuccino. Spike insulin, cause fatty liver, make you hungry an hour later

White bread
Fruit juice
Sugary cereal
Fast food (not as many nutrients, enzymes, fiber and has sugar, chemicals, and hormones)
Alcohol
Artificial sweeteners
Deep fried foods because of plant or seed oils that are exposed to high heat and pressure and they use chemicals. If the oil is reused it can become rancid easily
Margarine (trans fats)
Energy drinks
Soda
Dishonorable mentions
Rice
Quick oats
Grains in general - but exceptions for spelt, rye, and oats (whole grain whole kernel)
