Does it stop your body making ketones?
Must keep insulin low. No sugar, no protein.
Safe List
Black coffee or unsweetened tea (have polyphenols). Cannot have any milk.
Heavy cream is OK. So is stevia.
MCT oil. Maybe 1 tsp.
Fiber friendly to gut bacteria such as basil seeds, psyllium husk in water,
Nuts such as macadamia nuts or pistachios - a small handful. Plain nuts only.
OK to drink while fasting
Water - with sea salt
Carbonated water without any sweeteners
Lemon - but just a little in water
Green tea
Coconut oil
Ghee
MCT oil
Pure Monk
Mineral water is good
Diluted apple cider vinegar
Butter
Bone broth is great but is a NO
Fish oil
Collagen powder is a NO
Green powder to add to water
Electrolytes - sea salt
Nutrients
Garlic
Wheat grass juice
Turmeric
Vitamin D, B, C, zinc, selenium, iodine
Nutritional yeast

How to break a fast with either
Fat and protein
Carb and protein
Do not have a fat and a carb together
Clean fast is just water. No food. Best for cellular repair.
Dirty fast:
50 to 100 calories
MCT oil - goes to liver and turns into ketones (1 tsp in coffee)
Heavy cream - slow burning fat just 1 TBSP
Unsweet Coconut milk instead of heavy cream
Bone broth 1 cup (amino acids, collagen, and electrolytes) grass fed
Small scoop collagen
Cucumbers and dill pickles 1/2 cup no sweet pickles
