Wings in Air Fryer

Writer: Kevin BeaneKevin Beane

Ingredients

  • Six or more meaty chicken wings with tips cut off the wing portion. I actually prefer just the flats.

  • Salt

  • Garlic powder

  • Cayenne pepper

  • Sauce of choice (Frank’s Red Hot with melted butter is quite good)

  • Oil or other cooking spray like Pam for the air fryer to work well.

Directions

  1. Lay the wings out in a single layer and pat them dry on both sides with as we d see paper towels. Sprinkle evenly with salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

  2. Place wings in the air fryer standing up and turn on to 380°F. Spray with Pam. Cook 20 minutes. Check for doneness and cook another 5 minutes. 25 min total at 380.

  3. Increase the heat to 400°F and cook until the skin is crispy and golden brown, 5 to 8 minutes more. Toss the wings with the hot sauce and melted butter, if desired, before serving.
