Ingredients
Six or more meaty chicken wings with tips cut off the wing portion. I actually prefer just the flats.
Salt
Garlic powder
Cayenne pepper
Sauce of choice (Frank’s Red Hot with melted butter is quite good)
Oil or other cooking spray like Pam for the air fryer to work well.
Directions
Lay the wings out in a single layer and pat them dry on both sides with as we d see paper towels. Sprinkle evenly with salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
Place wings in the air fryer standing up and turn on to 380°F. Spray with Pam. Cook 20 minutes. Check for doneness and cook another 5 minutes. 25 min total at 380.
Increase the heat to 400°F and cook until the skin is crispy and golden brown, 5 to 8 minutes more. Toss the wings with the hot sauce and melted butter, if desired, before serving.
