Insulin resistance

Weight loss

Want to be in Ketosis

Get into Autophagy

What you can you drink while fasting

  1. Water - clean water not tap water but add minerals if it is reverse osmosis water and water with electrolytes is best

  2. Herbal tea as long as nothing artificial or sugar

  3. Apple cider vinegar (must be diluted)

  4. Green tea but not a lot due to caffeine (depends)

  5. Black tea same except it has more caffeine

  6. Coffee 1-2 cups at most

  7. Bulletproof coffee - depends on how much cream and only one

  8. Heavy Cream is OK because it is mostly fat and only 1 to 2 TBSP

  9. Almond milk as long as no added sugar and less than 2 cups

  10. Yes and No: Bone broth is very good and contains protein and collagen and minerals BUT not good for autophagy because of the protein and max 1-2 cups

Not good (that you might think OK?) during eating window

  • Skim milk

  • Alcohol - and it is bad for your liver

  • Green juice (squeezed from greens) -  no because it will break your fast but it is good before a meal because of a meal but not much due to carbs and sugar

  • Coconut water no because it has 2.6% sugar! Although coconut milk is good.

  • Store=bought juice no - sugar

  • Soda - absolutely not - sugar

  • Diet soda - no because sweet taste can trigger cephalic response (Stevia is an exception, they say it has no impact)
